Project Description
VGA and CGA SDCC Banners
HOW I TACKLED THE BANNERS

Brief

The COO of VGA/CGA (Video Game Authority and Collectible Grading Authority) also happens to be named Chad (so obviously he’s a good person). When Chad first contacted me about these banners he was a few months away from SDCC (San Diego Comic Con) and wanted to have these banners as a way to draw in customer’s to his booth. Being that the banners were representative of sibling companies, he wanted them to be stylistically consistent whilst not so similar that someone wouldn’t want to look at the 2nd banner. Chad was super psyched about the outcome, and so was he!

Deliverables

Over the course of a few week period I sent Chad some initial designs and after some feedback we eventually arrived at the designs you see here. Chad was so happy with the designs that he requested a third larger banner as a backdrop for the booth. I delivered print ready vector files scaled to the printer’s specifications.

Results

Chad invited me out to SDCC to see the booth in action firsthand and his setup was pretty slick! The third banner really tied the other 2 together. Combine that with the vintage star wars figures and lego sets that Chad and his team had encased in custom acrylic cases and the booth was a really eye-catching spectacle! By the way, these guys build custom acrylic cases for anything and you can’t beat the quality, for custom case inquiries, give them a call and ask for Craig, or find them online at cgagrading.com
